When it comes to Christmas, there’s no better gift a girl could ask for then jewellery. Sparkly, sentimental and something you’ll treasure for a long time. So whether your browsing for pieces to add to your #ChristmasList or browsing to find a loved one the perfect piece, look no further.
Just as clothing trends come and go, we also see a shift in jewellery trends each season, though they’re, thankfully, much more slight. This Christmas, there are three trends I’ll be investing in (read: heavily hinting to my boyfriend about), and I have a good feeling you’ll be all over these, too.
1. All Day, Every Day
Think finer pieces in gold and silver, from super-thin band rings to tiny hoops with dangling pendants and barely-there necklace chains you can layer and layer. Personally, I don’t take my everyday jewellery off which is why I looks for pieces that are comfortable to wear but are also really special to me. Don’t feel like you need to be matching with this trend, fill your ears with anything and everything and sure you mix and match. Many jewellery retailers, such as By Pariah and i+i, allow you to buy just a single earring, halving the cost!
2. Supersize Bling
Bling is back and it’s doubled in size. It comes along with the 80’s disco trend we’ve seen everywhere this season and is in the form of statement drop earrings and oversized shimmering stone rings. Why we love it? It’s the ultimate feel good accessory and compliments your party season look perfectly. Saint Laurent is championing this trend with the YSL single lettered earrings and we couldn’t be more obsessed.
3. Statement Earrings
You’ll be thrilled to know that these are not going anywhere, so carry on adding these to your wishlists, ladies. Let’s face it, we can never have enough pairs. From large pearl stones from one of our favourite new designers Sophie Buhai to brightly coloured stones and tassels from Roksanda, you simply can’t be too over the top with these. Be sure to wear these as a pair, gone are the days of single statement earrings (for now, anyway!).
